Breakfast Session: Roadside Inspections and Compliance

Description

Ever wonder what happens at a roadside inspection? Or what you need to be doing to stay in proper compliance when traveling down the road? Look no further! 

Eric Sundby, Minnesota State Patrol and Sgt. Jed Dahnke, North Dakota Highway Patrol will teach you all you need to know. 

This session will include two portions: a presentation and a real-time inspection outdoors. 

A recording will be available to purchase for the presentation portion.  

Cost is only $20 and includes a light breakfast. 

Our presenters: 

Eric Sundby, Minnesota State Patrol

Eric is a commercial vehicle safety alliance level VI-certified motor carrier inspector. He serves in the commercial vehicle inspector department for the Minnesota State Patrol. 

Sgt. Jed Dahnke, North Dakota Highway Patrol

Sgt. Dahnke received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Minnesota State University Moorhead and is a graduate of the North Dakota Highway Patrol Academy. 

He has served as a traffic enforcement trooper in Cooperstown, Valley City and Fargo from 2009-2020, and was promoted to sergeant in 2020. He served the northwest region of Minot and Williston before coming back to Fargo in 2021. He transferred to motor carrier in November 2022.

He is also a K-9 handler, drug recognition expert and standardized field sobriety testing Instructor.
