Construction sites expose workers to hazardous dust, fumes, noise, and chemicals every day. Industrial Hygiene (IH) testing is essential for identifying and controlling these risks—protecting worker health, ensuring OSHA compliance, and reducing costly claims.

Join us to learn IH best practices tailored for construction, covering key exposures like:

  • silica dust, 
  • welding fumes, 
  • noise, 
  • asbestos,
  • and chemical vapors.

Learning objectives:

  • Define industrial hygiene and its role in occupational health

About our instructor:

Donna Hetland, CSP, is a regional industrial hygiene lead for the Dakotas region, responsible for providing health and safety services to clients throughout North Dakota and Western Minnesota. She has over 23 years in education and more than 20 years in occupational health and safety. Donna is a certified safety professional, and stays updated on the latest safety regulations and best practices. Whether conducting risk assessments, developing safety policies or delivering effective, engaging training sessions, Donna brings a blend of expertise, professionalism and passion for ensuring the well being of employees and the success of businesses.
